The Annual Bearded Vulture Meeting 2012

Since 2010 the Swiss Foundation for Bearded Vultures releases each year beareded vultures in the Northern Alps. As a result more and more bearded vultures can be observed in the central parts of Switzerland. This development is very encouraging and it is therefore also a special pleasure to hold our annual bearded vulture meeting in Central Switzerland.

We are very glad to anounce the annual bearded vulture meeting 2012, which will be held from the 10th to the 11th of November 2012 in Brunnen and Schwyz in Central Switzerland!

  • The members of the IBM steering committee will meet on 12 November (Information will be sent by the IBM Administrator)

The Swiss Foundation for Bearded Vultures leads the reintroduction project of bearded vultures in the Swiss Alps. Its main activities include releases of bearded vultures, the monitoring of the reintroduced population and all communication related to bearded vultures.

The Landscape and Animal Park Goldau actively participates in the reintroduction program of bearded vultures and regularly provides fledglings from three breeding pairs, which are kept in large breeding facilities.
