Tuesday 1 to Friday 4 October 2019
Today we are opening registration to the European Vulture Conference 2019. For four days in October we will be bringing together scientists, conservationists and the public in the Algarve, Portugal, for an international congress looking at the latest research and conservation projects of vultures in Europe and beyond, in our first European Vulture Conference.
Over the course of the European Vulture Conference we'll have a series of key-note speakers leading the field of vulture research and conservation, workshops, seminars and displays. The fourth day of the European Vulture Conference will be dedicated to fieldtrips where participants will get the opportunity to leave the conference centre and get out into the field to see vultures and other Portuguese birds in the wild.
We are currently finalising the programme and will publish more details in the coming weeks.
To attend the European Vulture Conference we have two ticket types available with lunch and refreshments included in the ticket price for the duration of the four days:
There will be a range of social activities running alongside the main proceedings of the European Vulture Conference. There is an offical Conference Dinner during one of the four days which is an additional €33.25. If you would like to join us for the dinner this is available to purchase as part of the ticket registration.
If you also wish to share your expertise by presenting your work during the conference, please submit your abstract for review by our scientific committee.
Abstracts of a maximum of 300 words can be submitted for oral presentations, speedy talks and posters. You will be asked to indicate your preferred form (standard 15-20 minute talk, 5 minute speedy talk or poster) but depending on the number of submitted abstracts we might not be able to fulfil all requests.
Abstract submission will be open from Monday 18 March to the Wednesday 1 May 2019 at 23h59.
We will inform you (first-author) if your abstract has been accepted as well as the format of presentation (standard 15-20 minute talk, 5 minute speedy talk or poster) by the end of June 2019.
Please take note that only online submissions, via our Abstract Submission Form, will be accepted and all abstracts sent otherwise will not be considered.
All authors of the accepted abstracts for presentation must also make separate registration for the conference through our Registration form.
